About your payment: The service fee you paid is for our automated appointment search service operated by Get DMV Appointments. This fee is not a government fee. The Texas DPS does not charge for scheduling appointments. If we are unable to find and book an appointment within 7 days, the full service fee is refunded.
When You Get a Refund
You are eligible for a full refund in the following situations:
- 7-day automatic refund: If our system has not successfully booked an appointment for you within 7 calendar days of activating your search, a full refund is issued automatically. You do not need to request it.
- Manual cancellation: You may cancel your active search at any time before an appointment is booked. A full refund is issued immediately upon cancellation.
- Service error: If a technical error on our end prevents your search from running correctly, you receive a full refund.
How Refunds Work
All refunds are processed through Stripe, the same payment processor used to collect your original payment. Once initiated, refunds typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
What Is Not Refundable
Once an appointment has been successfully booked and confirmed on the Texas DPS scheduling system, the service fee is not refundable. At that point, the Service has fulfilled its purpose.
If you need to reschedule or cancel a booked DPS appointment, you can do so directly through the Texas DPS website. That process is separate from our service.
How to Request a Refund
There are two ways to initiate a refund:
- Cancel in your dashboard: Log in, go to your active search, and click the cancel button. Your refund will be processed immediately.
- Email us: Send a message to hello@getdmvapt.com with your account email, and we will process the cancellation and refund for you.
